JK Guest House ("we", "us", "our") is a guest house located at Plot No: 1195, K8 Lane 1, near Sum Hospital, Kalinganagar, Bhubaneswar, Odisha 751003. We provide short-term accommodation to guests. When you contact us on WhatsApp or by phone

• Your WhatsApp or phone number, the content of your messages, and the timestamps of our conversation.

05 Who we share your information with

• Local police station / law enforcement: as required by law, we send a periodic guest register showing guests' names, identity details, and stay dates.
• Tax and accounting professionals: for invoicing and statutory financial compliance.
• Payment processors / banks: to process payments (UPI, card, or bank transfers). Only payment status is shared — not your credentials.
• Service providers who help us operate (e.g., our email provider, our web hosting provider), strictly under confidentiality obligations.

We do not share your information for advertising purposes and we do not transfer your data across borders beyond what is necessary to operate our email and hosting services.

06 Cookies & tracking

This website uses minimal cookies — only those needed for the site to function correctly, such as security tokens that protect forms against cross-site request forgery and a session cookie for the admin panel. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that identify you personally.

07 WhatsApp & messaging

If you contact us through WhatsApp, your conversation is handled through WhatsApp's own service and is subject to WhatsApp's Privacy Policy in addition to ours. The message content and your phone number are visible to us and are stored on the devices we use to manage bookings.

We use these conversations only to handle your inquiry, confirm bookings, and provide guest support. We do not add WhatsApp contacts to any marketing list.

08 Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, or loss:

• Our admin panel is protected with authentication and role-based access.
• Access to guest records is limited to authorised staff only.

• Physical copies of ID proofs, where kept, are stored securely and destroyed after the retention period.

09 Retention period

We retain your personal information only for as long as needed:

• Guest registers and identity proof copies: typically retained for up to 3 years, in line with standard Indian hotel/guest house practices.
• Invoices and financial records: retained for the minimum period required under Indian tax law.
• Booking inquiries (from the website or WhatsApp) that do not result in a stay: retained for up to 12 months, then deleted.
• Website server logs: retained for up to 90 days.

11 Children's privacy

Our services are intended for adults.
